Twitter Analytics Tools You Should Use
Size isn’t everything. Have you heard that one before? Well I hope you don’t have to hear it too often from your girlfriend! Well size isn’t everything on Twitter either. If you want to gather a heard on twitter keep it focused the same as you do an email list. You give more value to your followers and you will get more back from them as well.
That said, it’s still nice with lots of followers. Lots of followers will give you social proof and you will get even more followers that just follows you because they wonder what you are sharing since you have so many followers.
I have been covering in the past a couple of way to get more followers but how do you track the growth of your twitter account?
One free service you can use is twittercounter. Here you can follow day by day how your heard of followers grows. You also have a number of buttons to easily tweet your stats to your followers and you even get code to add a badge to your site with your number of current followers, I haven’t used that yet.
Eventually you will reach 2000 followers. When you get there you have hit the Twitter roof. You will not be able to follow more users until you have 1800 followers and after that you may never follow more than 10% of the people following you.
So how do you know which of your followers are followers you do not follow in return?
And. how do you know who you follow but do not follows you in return?
Twitter karma is a service that will help you with this info. Login with your twitter account at http://dossy.org/twitter/karma/
You will see all the info and when you followed / got followed by each user. And you can follow/unfollow/block users right from the page.
If you want to keep updated with this block and my whereabouts, follow me on twitter.
