Twitter is everywhere and the new darling of popular media, almost daily you can read on how each and every celebrity is starting to Tweet.

You most likely know about how Twitter works and perhaps you are using it already?

Me, I did start to use Twitter a while ago but really I did not get the whole point of it.

What I did not get with Twitter was the point of writing nonsense daily updates about your everyday doings. But if your tweets have a focus it’s a whole different point, and I am willing to give this all a second chance.

For example, I find a great use for keeping user updated on services/software they are using I can see the point. The really short limit on 140 characters for a text messages forces all updated to be concise and to the point. You are forced to get your point across quickly and can add a links to let reads get more if the update sparks an interest.

For this purpose I finally get Twitter.

Lately I have given it a second chance and is now using Twitter actively from Pixelpipe to make it easy for everyone to know what is happening with site-hype. I Tweet when I update this blog and as I add more features to the site-hype software.

Another benefit of Twitter is that a tweet can never get caught in spam filers, your customers decide to follow you and get all the updates whenever they follow you. Twitter is a great complement to your email list and I will use it as a the next time I send something to my list.

I have a few great twitter sites I want to share with you but more about that in the next post. Right now, why don’t you follow me on Twitter
