Exploit your most valuable asset most marketers ignore

When you are selling anything online, your most valuable asset is your thank you page. If you don’t make good use of it, you are wasting money.
By your thank you page I am referring to pages shown when you are thanking a visitor for doing something you asked them to do like:
• The thank you page displayed after a client buys your product
• The thank you page displayed when they opt-in to your newsletter
• The thank you page displayed when someone has completed a downloaded of your software or reports.
• The thank you page displayed after a client has completed a survey
• The thank you page displayed after a support ticked has been closed.
The only people who ever gets to see your thank you page has already done something that you want them to. And, they have a natural positive attitude to you and your services.
Getting someone to take a second step when they have taken the first is a lot easier than getting a random person to do something.
You have probably already placed an offer on your thank you page? If not, run and start work on that right away.
Match your offer and message to the type of thank you page. For example, when a customer sees the thank you page after a completed support issue, give a special offer as thank you for the customer’s time.
If you don’t have something to offer yourself on your thank you page, find a partner and offer an affiliate product. Clickbank and Regnow are two good sources to search for products. Amazon is another option though I have never tried them myself. When you pick products from sites like this you will naturally not have a relation with the business owner. But, it’s a really quick way to get something up and you can go do it today.
An even better option is if you can start to build a relationship with the business owner you are promoting. You should be able to negotiate a better deal and even better, you might be able to leverage his customers as well. Build the relationship and you might find other opportunities in the future, perhaps you can get your product on his thank you page?
In my next post I will give you more tips on how you can use your thank you page to build you list of followers, or your herd, as Dan Kennedy says.
