The new iphone launch

The broad launch of the new iphone in Sweden has been a great success in Sweden, the land of Ericsson. Three out of the four big operators are competing for sales and the customers are waiting in line to spend their money. The iphone is at the top in all mobile charts now.

I am really curios what impact this will have on the Mobile Social networks in Sweden. In particular it will be interesting following how location based services like Foursquare, Brightkite and Google Latitude will do in Stockholm, Gothenburg and Malmo.

It might be none of these players making it on their own,  but rather a partnership, of any kind with the already successful social networks on the Internet today like facebook, Linkedinn or why not, Stumbleupon?

LBM in Sweden

There has been talks about LBM (Location based Marketing) in Sweden for over 10 years without real progress. I believe that a true success in this field will come next summer when the iphone release has turned the arena in side out.

This is a very important area to follow, so stay tuned.
