How to vote on Digg

When you enter the Tagging tab in site-hype, and have a site to tagg and comment in digg. Site-hype provide you with a link directly to the correct digg.com-subpage. Here you press the “digg it”-button. If are not logged in a popup will ask you to do so.

Comments are made at the bottom of the page, in text only. Your comment is editable for 5 minutes after you post it, so you have plenty of time to think and improve it. You are asked pass an are-you-human test.

How to submit to Digg

Login to your account and press the link “Submit New” in the upper right corner. Submission of a new post is in 2 steps.

First you enter the URL and chose what sort of media the page is(text, video, audio).

Then you fill in Title and Description. A thumbnail is produced and suggested from your post. This is good to use, images catches the eye.

Choose one topic that your post is about.

Under the headline Preview you see what your post submission will look like.

And last you are asked an “are-you-human-question” which ensures that all submission are done by people and not automatic programs. This check does not care about upper or lower case letters.

Press Submit button.

Now, it is very likely that digg.com make a check for duplicate posts and find similar posts exists already on digg.com.

This is nothing to worry about, just scroll through the list of “potential duplicates” and press the button saying “Totally original, I swear!”

Now your post is submitted and you should make sure you copy and save the URL to this page for later entering into the SiteHyping software.

Your Vote URL – This is important

Your Vote URL should look something like this:

OR

http://digg.com/d1kMRQ.

The avove URL is created easily by adding digg.com/ to your original URL, like this:

digg.com/http://www.site-hype.com/wordpress/socials/how-to-best-use-twitter-for-web-traffic-generation/

Do not use:

http://digg.com/ or your original web page, since this will cause others to fail helping you

How to create accounts

A mail is sent to the address you entered containing a verification URL you need to goto. Here you are asked to fill in the optional information: Full Name, Location, Country, Postal Code andGender.

You are done. This registration takes about 2 minutes.
