Delicious is a bookmarking site.

To do your job in Site-Hype you bookmark the page you get to when pressing the visit button. This is easiest done if you have configured your browser with a Bookmarklet in the toolbar.

A bookmarklet is a small computer application, stored as the URL of a bookmark in a web browser or as a hyperlink on a web page.

Delicious (formerly del.icio.us, pronounced “delicious”) is a social bookmarking web service for storing, sharing, and discovering web bookmarks. The site was founded by Joshua Schachter in 2003 and acquired by Yahoo! in 2005. It has more than five million users and 150 million bookmarked URLs. It is headquartered in Santa Clara, California.

How to create accounts

Go to delicious.com and press the green join now button it the upper right corner. Enter your first name, last name and email address.

choose a username and a password and prove the you are human by entering the text in the image, this is not case sensitive, and press the register button.

Now you setup your browser with a bookmarking button for delicious. Under the headline Alternative buttons you press the link to the Bookmarklet page (https://secure.delicious.com/register/bookmarklets)

Drag and drop the link bookmark on Delicious to your browser toolbar.

Press proceed to next step and then skip step3 if you dont really want to.

How to submit to Delicious

This is easy. To Submit your web page for Site-Hype you enter your web page URL as the Vote URL. This is set as default. Now people will be asked to bookmark your web page and they will find it easy from the tagging tab.
