How to earn credits on Google bookmarks

Google bookmars is a bookmarking site.

To do your job in Site-Hype you bookmark the page you get to when pressing the visit button. This is easiest done if you have configured your browser with a Bookmarklet in the toolbar.(the name is defaulted to Google Bookmark)

A bookmarklet is a small computer application, stored as the URL of a bookmark in a web browser or as a hyperlink on a web page.

How to use the submit tab for Google Bookmarks

This is easy. To Submit your web page for Site-Hype you enter your web page URL as the Vote URL. This is set as default. Now people will be asked to bookmark your web page and they will find it easy from the tagging tab.

About the site

Google Bookmarks is a free online bookmark storage service, available to Google Account holders.

The service allows one to bookmark favorite websites and add labels or tags, and also notes.

Labels and notes are searchable, and users can access their bookmarks from any computer by signing in on one’s Personalized Homepage.

Unlike del.icio.us (owned by Yahoo), which is a social tool to share your bookmarks with the community, this service is only for personal and private use with no option to share bookmarks with others, and no option to see what is popular in others’ bookmarks. Nevertheless, many websites will encourage bookmarking to Google Bookmarks through third party buttons on their sites, knowing that Google’s search engine keeps tabs and considers these bookmarks significant in the results for public search.

How to create accounts

Go to http://www.google.com/bookmarks and press the Create an account now at the bottom and to the right. Fill in your current email address and choose a password you want for google bookmarks. Choose your region and prove the you are human by entering the text in the image, this is not case sensitive. Read the terms of service and press the I accept. Create my accountbutton.

Go to your email inbox and click on the link in the email from google to verify your email address and activate your Google bookmarks account.

Go to http://www.google.com/bookmarks again. At the lower part of the screen you see a gray button that says, Google Bookmark. Drag and drop this to the browser toolbar.
